About this Event

Rising Together: The Bay Adapt Summit is a dynamic and immersive sea level rise summit that will engage the public in inspiring panels, keynotes, tours, activities, and workshops designed to forge partnerships and drive action. Join BCDC and the Exploratorium as we invite climate change practitioners, scientists, activists, and YOU to celebrate sea level rise adaptation and the latest climate actions in the neighborhoods!

We will kick off the programming with optional morning shoreline tours — each led by one of our five amazing community organization partners — taking participants on a journey of sea level risks and solutions. Register for one of these tours at check-out through the “Add-on” feature.

The Bay Adapt summit will convene into our core afternoon session where leaders and experts from around the region will share exciting adaptation updates, celebrate achievements, and provide a snapshot of the current state of adaptation in the Bay Area. Following an inspiring fireside chat, there will be a series of interactive workshops where you’ll be invited to delve into intersectional topics. Stay tuned for more information!

A key part of the event will include the Bay Adapt Awards which will honor the work of visionaries building a more resilient shoreline and protecting communities from the impacts of rising sea levels. Get ready to meet the changemakers leading the fight against sea level rise!

The celebration will continue at After Dark: Sea Level Rise, where adults (ages 18+) are invited to continue the hands-on exploration of this themed programming from BCDC and the Exploratorium. After Dark tickets will be sold separately for $19.95 through the Exploratorium’s website. Tickets available soon.
