About this Event
Join our Park Rangers as they discuss the history, ecology, and culture of the Widewater Peninsula. Travel in a solo kayak or grab a partner and paddle in a tandem.
This program is limited to 10 participants, so registration is required. Children 6-12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the boat, and children 13-17 may paddle solo but must be under the supervision of a parent/guardian. All paddlers are required to wear a properly fitted personal floatation device (PFD). Be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen, and dress to get wet!
Pre-registration and payment is required. Spots are limited and are first come, first serve. Payment is $20/person for equipment rental. Call the Visitor Center at (540)288-1400 to pay over the phone. Registration over email will not be accepted.
Arrive at the Visitor Center at least 20 minutes prior to the start time to check-in before heading over to the Aquia Creek paddle launch for setup.
In case of inclement weather, call the Visitor Center about cancellation and payment details.
