Rising Rhythms RAGE Fueled Ecstatic Dance

This world is messy, demands are high, and sometimes we are just pissed.
Join Rising Rhythms for a RAGE-fueled ecstatic dance. Jordan Green and John Alba will guide us in a practice to connect with all of our feelings: our anger, sadness, fear, and joy, as we find expression through sound and movement. Together we will explore how these emotions intertwine and move through us, followed by an opportunity to channel our energy through dance.
We will come together for a closing ceremony at the end of our practice. There is absolutely no dance experience required. Come move your body in whatever way it needs.
Recommended $10-20 donation at the alter or via paypal/ venmo(please do not allow lack of funds to prevent you from joining) We encourage you to wear comfortable clothes and bring water.
Our dance floor is a sacred space. Please respect the shared expectations for all Ecstatic Dance communities.

WHEN WE STEP ON THE DANCE FLOOR, WE INCLUDE OUR WHOLE SELVES,EVEN THE FRIGHTENED PARTS THAT WANT TO HIDE. WE DANCE THROUGH PAIN AND SORROW. WE DANCE WITH JOY UNTIL OUR HARD EDGES SOFTEN AND OUR MASKS FALL AWAY. WE MEET OTHER COURAGEOUS DANCERS, WEAVING UNBREAKABLE THREADS OF CONNECTION. OUR FRIENDSHIPS TRANSCEND THE BOUNDARIES OF TIME AND SPACE. IT ALL MELTS TOGETHER–BEAT,MOVEMENT,BREATH–INTO A SWIRLING VORTEX WE CALL COMMUNITY. AS THE THROBBING PULSE OF THE DANCE FLOOR MATCHES OUR OWN HEARTBEAT, WE KNOW, WITHOUT A DOUBT, WE ARE NOT ALONE.
