Contact Improvisation Workshop with Irene Pons
OPEN LEVEL (Beginners welcome)
We are happy to welcome Irene Pons for a workshop exploring Contact Improvisation. Irene has spent the past few years deeply immersed in this practice as a nomadic practitioner. For the past three years she has been studying at Towards – Centre for the Practice and Research of Contact Improvisation in Thailand drawing inspiration from teachers such as Sasha Dodo Dolores Dewhurst Marks and Ekaterina Basalaeva among others.
**Saturday 15th
Class 1 : 13h-15h30: "Letting Go and Creating Space for the Dance to Happen"
Trusting what arises moment by moment. We will focus on being honest and creating an inclusive space where communication flows allowing us to feel truly connected to one another.
Class 2: 17h - 19h30 "Finding Ground Together"
What is our relationship with the ground? In this session we will explore creating a shared sense of centeredness while maintaining continuous attention and communication. The focus will be on starting from a place where we truly meet.
Saturday Jam : 20h15- 22h15
**Sunday 16th
Class 3 : 11h-14h "Playing with Gravity and Falling"
What does falling teach us? What do we release when we fall? We will soften the body to embrace the fall and be received by the earth rather than resisting it.
Class 4: 15h30 - 18h30"Dancing the Hidden"
This session opens a space to break patterns and explore composition through embodied poetry. The form will emerge naturally and intuitively through the creative process using text and creative forms of expression.
