In partnership with Duke Gardens, the Light Lab presents: RISE&SHINE
Start your day with a guided dance party among the trees. What could be better?
Where: Sarah P. Duke Gardens, Prairie Classroom (we'll send directions!)
Who: All are welcome (including kids!)
When: 7- "doors" open (settle, stretch, breathe), 7:15-8:15 guided experience. (make sure to leave time for parking)
What:
RISE&SHINE is a wake-up ritual rooted in Jewish sacred heritage and embracing, open, and accessible to all. Imagine being welcomed into a beautiful outdoor space and given a pair of silent disco headphones. Slip on your set and be immersed in a glorious soundscape as you stretch, breathe, and ground yourself. You are guided through breath and mindfulness, building into movement and a full-on dance party, inviting play, gratitude, awe, help, and hope into your heart. When you take off your headphones after such an experience, the world around you might sound even more beautiful.
Cost- pay what you'd like!
Dress- whatever brings you joy
Bring- a yoga mat, towel, meditation cushion, blanket, or other ground-support that helps you sink in
Bring- a bottle of your favorite morning drink (water suggested :)
Bring- your open heart
Commit- to showing up as your full self, honoring body sanctity, and showing love to our earth
