Make a difference here and around the world!Help package 10,000 meals for the hungry.
Come support the Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) (RAH) meal packaging event at Warwick Memorial UMC (WMUMC) Sunday, November 17th from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Celebration Center (CC).
We are fully funded for this event, however, any additional donations will help us to package 10,000 meal packs. If you would like to donate to support this event, checks should be made out to WMUMC with RAH in the memo line or watch for additional fundraising events. Every 42ยข collected pays for a meal pack.
All ages from young children to older adults are welcome to participate!
WE WILL NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE FOLLOWING:
3pm - volunteers to unload the truck and setup; (helping with set-up is just as important as helping with the event, we need help with unloading the supplies and setting up the room ready for the packing volunteers. Please contact Vanessa if you are able to help with pre-set up or post-clean up. Thanks!)
4 PM - volunteers to stand and package the meals (5 people per station);
volunteers to sit - weighing and sealing;
volunteers to box, refill the stations, and take the meals between stations;
6 PM - volunteers to clean-up and load the truck.
