RiptideSociety.org has a simple, yet powerful mission: to help young adults and at-risk youth through hands-on mentorship opportunities and events by partnering with outreach organizations, professionals and service providers. Working together, we identify and implement ways to lift individuals out of the unique riptide they are caught in, and settle them onto a new, safe and healthy wave where they can thrive. We focus on the long term effects of our recipients by providing options and a tangible way to create a lasting change in their own stories by creating a positive wind in their sails.
* *Ed Rolland of Collective Soul**
Edgar Eugene Roland, Jr. is an American musician. He is the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the rock band Collective Soul, along with his brother Dean, who also served as the band's rhythm guitarist. He is also active with his side project, Ed Roland and the Sweet Tea Project.
* *Brett Scallions of Fuel**
Brett Allen Scallions is an American singer and musician. He is best known for being one of the founding members and the original lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the alternative rock band Fuel from 1993 to 2006 and then from 2010 to 2020. He formed Fuel with Jeff Abercrombie, Jody Abbott, and Carl Bell. During that time, the band released four major-label albums including the double platinum Something Like Human. His initial stint with the band ended in February 2006. Scallions has been ranked in the Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists by Hit Parader (#50).
