A comedy with humor and heart that might just make the jump into true friendship, “Ripcord” will run January 16 through February 1, 2026 at the Racine Theatre Guild.Abby’s sun-soaked room at the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility is in high demand. Yet, she is stubbornly independent and has successfully scared off every potential roommate that has come along. When the cheerful Marilyn arrives, Abby is determined to get her to leave as soon as possible, but it appears she may have met her match. They soon make a bet to determine who stays and who goes in an all-out battle of one-upmanship. Pulling out all the practical jokes, parachutes and all, and revealing long hidden secrets, it hilariously celebrates the power of friends and the adventures that await us at any age, if only we will leap.
