About this Event

This Riparian Tree ID Workshop is designed to teach you basic tree identification. We will host a lecture portion at the University of Arizona Sierra Vista Campus followed by a field portion at the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area. Participants must provide their own transportation.


Trevor has several years of experince conducting vegetational surveys throughout the United States on wildlife projects. While in college Trevor tutored Dendrology & Botany.


Saftey

We have planned this program early in the morning to avoid the heat. However, we still want you to be safe and come prepared. Things to bring and be aware of

  • Water & eletrolytes for hydration
  • Hat for shade
  • Closed toed shoes or boots for hiking (will cover about 1 mile)
  • Be aware there is the possibility of encountering snakes, scorpions, bees, and other wildlife
