This competition is a "Bavarian strength contest where competitors hold a full 1-liter beer stein (Masskrug) with a straight, outstretched arm held parallel to the ground, with the front of the stein facing away from the competitor. The objective is to hold the stein for as long as possible, with immediate disqualification for any beer spillage." (Google)
