About this event
Join the City of Rio Vista, Sustainable Solano and the Rio Vista Youth Air Protectors to help plant trees, improve air quality and expand Rio Vista's green spaces.
We will be planting trees along Airport Road to purify polluted air and will improve the walkability of the street by creating shade, making it more appealing to pedestrians, and mitigating the urban heat island effect.
We will meet at the corner of Airport Road and Bauman Road at 10am. Parking is available along the road, or in the parking lot next to the airport. Please wear closed-toe shoes, sun protection, bring gloves and a refillable water bottle
Refreshments will be provided.
If you have any questions please contact our Sustainable Landscaping Program Manager Nicole at [email protected]
Join us for the Rio Vista Air Quality Meeting in December!
The Rio Vista Youth Air Protectors program is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment — particularly in disadvantaged communities.
