Come & learn about all things brakes (of the rim variety). See how they work, how to check and change brake pads and adjust them if needed.In this taught workshop, we will take an in-depth look at rim brakes (cantilever brakes or V-brakes). We will not be covering disc brakes in this session.
Together we will cover:
-The braking system and how it works
-How to tell if your brake pads are worn
-How to change your brake pads
-Adjusting brakes to get them working evenly
-Troubleshooting spongy, sticky or squeaky brakes
Please note this session is open to self-identifying women only.
You will need:
-Your bike (or you can work on one of ours)
-Your own refreshments
-Comfortable warm clothing you don’t mind getting mucky (we don’t have heating!)

Cancellation: If you can’t make it, PLEASE LET US KNOW in advance so we know who to expect and aren’t left waiting.
Parking: Please note that we do not have designated parking spaces, you can park on Chaucer street but it’s £2.80 per hour. We’d recommended cycling.
