Learn more about the possibilities of rigid heddle weaving while making some pretty and functional tea towels or placemats! This class builds on the basic skills involved in weaving on a rigid heddle loom. The project is a pair of small towels or placemats featuring a 2-colour houndstooth fabric.
Skills to be learned include direct warping of a rigid heddle loom with 2 colours, weaving houndstooth in 2 colours, and creating tidy hems.
Instructor: Cynthia Levy
Prerequisites: Completion of Rigid Heddle Weaving - Introduction or equivalent weaving experience approved by the instructor. Age 16 or older.
Cost: $140 (includes materials)
Class runs from November 15 from 7-9pm, November 16 from 9am to noon, and November 17 from 9am to noon for 3 sessions.
