About the Course:
Most people in society are left-brain dominant, focusing on analytical and logical thinking. However, the right brain is the seat of creativity, intuition, and visual thinking. By learning to use the right side of your brain in balance with the left, you can turn off stress, improve sleep, and enhance your confidence.
In this 5-week course, Helen Joy, a successful coach and author of Coffee Stains for Balanced Brains, will guide you through the essential skills required to draw and tap into your creative potential.
Course Outline:
Week 1: Introduction
Identify left-brain symbols and engage in exercises to activate your right brain.
Week 2: Edges
Learn about your artistic development and begin shifting to right-brain thinking.
Week 3: Space
Explore spatial awareness through exercises with charcoal (aprons provided).
Week 4: Relationships
Integrate left-brain and right-brain skills to understand perspective and relationships.
Week 5: Gestalt (Whole)
Study light and shadow to draw a full face in proportion, using all learned skills.
