The Revitalising Redesdale Project has developed this scenic walk to visit the Old Iron Works, now a Scheduled Monument. The walk takes us across fields and past the site of Habitancum Roman Fort. On our return we will cross the Roman road ‘Dere Street’ via East Woodburn.
Dress for changeable weather and wear suitable footwear. Bring a packed lunch, snacks and a drink for the break.
Dogs are not permitted at this event.

As you enter West Woodburn on the A68 from the south, turn right before crossing the river bridge signed East Woodburn , the Parish Hall is to be found shortly on the right.
