South Australian not-for-profit Barkuma has spent millions of dollars building homes for people living with disability in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Barkuma has just completed a brand new, purpose-built home thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of NDIS clients who cherish their independence but require additional supports.
NDIS participants, support coordinators, families, and providers are invited to tour Barkuma's latest property. This innovative home boasts five separate units, each featuring a private bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and dining/living area, ensuring every resident experiences the comfort and dignity of having their own space.
Complimentary breakfast and barista coffee will be available from 9:45 am. The official launch kicks off at 10:00 am, followed by a Welcome to Country, and speeches from our CEO and a current accommodation participant. Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony guests will be able to wander through the property, see the thoughtful design and care put into each space, and meet some of Barkuma's current residents and dedicated staff.
