Here comes Chili Season!!!!That time once again to help out our furry friends of our local Joplin & Carthage Humane Societies with the 3rd Annual Ridgeline Chili Cook-Off.
**All proceeds will go to benefit both the Joplin & Carthage Humane Societies.

## EVENT DETAILS

👉 DATE: Friday, October 24th, 2025
👉 LOCATION: Ridgeline Roofing and Solar at 1710 E 32nd St J, Joplin, MO 64804
👉 CHILI SETUP
• Tables ready by 10 AM, with access to electricity.
• Homemade chili must be ready to serve by 11 AM.
👉 HEAT INDEX
• Chili heat levels will marked using a mild, medium, or hot rating.
• Cards can be 4x6 inches with checkboxes to indicate heat levels.
👉 PRIZES
• 1st place: $500 and a trophy.
• 2nd place: $250 and a trophy.
• 3rd place: $100 and a trophy.
👉 SPECIAL GUESTS Ami Radio (96.9 The KKOW ) will be present with hosts Howie and Bubba.
👉 BENEFICIARY
• The event will benefit the Joplin & Carthage Humane Societies. A tasting fee made by cash, check, or an equivalent donation (e.g., a bag of dog/cat food) is suggested.
👉 ENTRY FEES
Please donate by cash, check, or an equivalent gift (e.g., a bag of dog/cat food).
• Contestants: $20 Cash/Check/
• Tasters/Judges: $10
👉 JUDGING
• Judges receive tickets to mark their top chili choice after tasting all entries. We suggest judges taste all chili entries to make an informed decision. Scorecards at each booth will indicate heat level and allow tasters to score the chili. Judges then place their scorecards into a box for tallying.
👉 HOW IT WORKS
• Attendees who want to taste will receive a ballot upon payment.
• Tickets for tasting and judging will be provided.
• Tables, electricity for crockpots, taster cups and spoons will be provided.
👉 ENTRY FEES
• Entry donations can be made in the form of cash, check, or pet supplies (such as food, litter, etc.) with a value that meets the minimum entry amount.
DROP OFF DONATIONS at Ridgeline Roofing and Solar between Monday and Friday, 9A to 5P or the day of the event.
👉 RULES
1. Contestants must be present to win.
2. Contestants are not eligible to judge but welcome to submit a donation for a ticket to taste.
3. Must be set up no earlier than 10A, no later than 11A.
4. Tables, electricity for crockpots, taster cups and spoons will be provided.
5. Please provide your own ladle to dish out your chili.
6. If judging, please taste all chili entries and then submit your vote with the ticket provided. Please be advised some chili entries might be SPICY!
7. Votes will be tallied and winners announced at 1P.
8. All proceeds and donations will go directly to the Joplin and Carthage Humane Societies.
