About this Event
Ridge to Reef Restoration Center Open House
Terraformation Hawaiʻi and ʻĀkoʻakoʻa will host a Ridge to Reef Restoration Center (3RC) Open House to showcase restoration efforts to the greater community and valued partners. This free, family-friendly event will focus on current efforts and programming based in the Ridge to Reef Restoration Center and how the community can support. Partner organizations including Hawai‘i ‘Ulu Cooperative, The Kohala Center and Kahalu‘u Bay Reef Teach, the Division of Aquatic Resources, Waikoloa Dryland Forest and more will be in attendance to spotlight mission-aligned approaches to culturally-relevant restoration across various sectors. Food trucks, keiki games, speakers and more will be available for all to enjoy!
It's a great opportunity to see our work firsthand, meet the team behind it all, and see the impact of our efforts. Whether you're a long-time supporter, community member, or new to the area, we welcome everyone to come and learn about how restoring our native forests affects the success of coral restoration in West Hawaiʻi.
