We’ll kick off the day at Starbucks, located at 6735 North Carefree Circle in Colorado Springs, with kickstands up at 8:00 AM sharp. For those needing a top-off, a Maverick gas station is conveniently next door. Our primary route takes us south on Interstate 25 to Raton, then east on US 87, covering about three hours of riding time.If the weather is questionable between Trinidad and Raton, we’ll adjust the route and head eastbound on Colorado 94 and south on CO-71, extending the ride to about four hours. Along the way, we’ll stop for fuel as needed before reaching our destination. Once at Capulin, we’ll enjoy lunch with incredible views and a chance to explore this remarkable volcanic landmark.
