OVERVIEW OF THE SHOW
Ride the Cyclone is a dark comedy musical about six Canadian high school chamber choir members from Uranium City who die in a freak roller coaster accident. Stuck in a fantastical purgatory, a mechanical fortune-teller, The Amazing Karnak, gives them a chance to sing their stories to win a single, undeserved resurrection
This is a non-equity, non-paying, volunteer production.

PERFORMANCES
May 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th & 16th at 7:30pm
All performances are at Club Diversity, 863 S High Street, Columbus 43206.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will start March 2nd, pending cast availability
Rehearsals typically run Mon-Thurs from 7-9:30pm
Though music will be rehearsed, it is strongly recommended that the cast be comfortable learning music on their own.
AUDITIONS
We will be holding individually scheduled, five-minute auditions from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm, on Tuesday, February 24th at Club Diversity (863 S High Street, Columbus 43206).
Video auditions will also be accepted for those who can't join us in person.
Please be sure to warm up on your own and follow the guidelines as described below for your preparation.
PREPARATION
All auditionees are asked to prepare:
60-90 seconds of song from your repertoire in the style of the show
You are also welcome to additionally sing a song from the show if you would like, however, it is not required for casting
Versions of the songs are available on Youtube/Spotify for reference.
Please bring an mp3 or your PHONE with a 60-90 second cut of your audition tracks on it. You may not be asked to sing the entire audition piece.

Walk-ins are welcome however scheduled auditions are encouraged and will be seen first.

Videos submissions need to be received prior to 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 24th.
Please bring your appointment calendars on that day so that you are prepared to state any rehearsal conflicts you may anticipate. Please be completely honest with these conflicts. We are willing to work around scheduling issues as best we can

Please note, anyone can audition for any character, however the character will be portrayed onstage as the gender written in the script

Mischa Bachinski - Male - Baritone/Rap (A2 – G4)
Constance Blackwood - Female - Mezzo-Soprano (G3 – E5)
Ricky Potts - Male - Tenor (A2 – A4)
Jane Doe - Female - Soprano (C4 – E5)
Karnak - Male - Non singing role
Ensemble - may be used for supporting roles in the show as well as understudies
