Havant veterans support hub are collaborating with My Fitness hub Havant in a long distance static bike ride covering the distance between john O'groats to landsend (973 miles) to raise awareness of HVSH and the groups and services we offer. Also the veteran Gym membership that MFHH exclusively offer our members and the support they have shown us over the past months. Also showing the support we now recieve from ASDA'S community champion Lisa Whitelock. The plan is to use 4 static bikes with a minimum team of 20 people HVSH members MFHH staff ASDA staff and or from the public if possible.
Each person must cycle a minimum of 48.5 miles in relay style a section of 5 people or more obviously the more people involved lesser the milage.
Each persons milage can be achieved in stages if they so wish, an independent adjudicator will record each persons distance from each ride. We have two days to complete the milage if needs be.
The idea is to show case veterans in the community. let other veterans & those still serving and there family's see what support there is locally for them either from Havant borough Council local business or via the general public themselves.
We will also be raising vital funds to help sustain our services, enhance our social groups and help subsidise trips activitys and events combating isolation lonliness easing mental and physical health working together for a brighter future #hvshstrongertogether 🇬🇧🇬🇧
