About this Event
What? With the Commonwealth Games taking place in Birmingham it's a summer of sport – and we're organising a Go-Ride event as part of British Cycling's Ride and Shine! programme.
Beacon RCC are hosting an entry level cycling competition, perfect for riders aged 5-12. Whether you're already a club member or not, join us for fun, accessible activities that will show you surprising ways you can get outside and ride.
Who? The event is suitable for all riders who can ride without stabilisers and the event is all about having a great time. It doesn't matter if you're aiming for the top step of the podium or taking your first steps in cycling: we'd love to see you. There's even a borrow-a-bike option if you haven't got a suitable bike.
When? Wednesday 17 August 17:30-18:30.
Where? Moseley School Fitness Centre outdoor netball courts. The address is Springfield Road, Birmingham, B13 9NP, but please use the College Road entrance.
What equipment do I need? A working bike; helmet; gloves; clothing that can keep you warm enough – but not so you get too hot putting an effort in; layers are good. See Bike, Helmet and Clothing Checklist (PDF).
What if I haven't got a bike like that? Let us know by selecting the 'borrow-a-bike' option and we can sort it out.
How much? Free to members and £2 for non-members. Junior membership is just £5 for the year.
