A fun night out learning to make cheese while you laugh, drink and spend time with friends.

This is a great beginner class that will teach you 2 types of cheese techniques that will help you make some simple & delicious cheeses with local farm milk or milk from your local grocery store. No cheese making experience is necessary you will learn 2 cheeses in 2 hours.

In this class we will be making 2 most popular cheeses. A quick Cheese Curd & a yummy Ricotta. This beginner class will teach you to make Cheese Curds in 1 hour and get them ready for any sporting event that day. In case you are not familiar with Cheese Curds, they are fresh curds of cheese. The flavor of these quick curds are mild with about the same firmness as a fresh pressed cheese, but with a springy or rubbery texture. Also Cheese curds are eaten right away! We will also be making a fluffy ricotta that you can eat by itself or add to your favorite Italian dish.

Each group of students will start with milk and finesse it over the course of the class into their own cheese curds. Although this is a beginner class we will be introducing the enzyme rennet, which is used in cheese making to aid in the protein separation of the milk. We will then go over different ways to produce a variety of cheese curds by adding flavor and spices. We will be sampling the curds along the way, and vote on the best flavor of the class. We will then start & complete a fresh Ricotta Cheese that we will taste with crackers.

You will walk away with a night of fun and your own copies of the recipes we made, and the knowledge to make your own cheese at home. Drinks and food are available for purchase at the venue.
