Prepare for swinging on a cool night with Ricki Derek and his band at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, at the Allen Public Library. The audience at this concert will be treated to big band sounds straight from the Sands Hotel circa 1966.Greatly influenced by Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Tom Jones, Bobby Darin, and Sammy Davis Jr, Ricki channels the greats but with his own style.
Whether he is performing with his band or leaning against a piano, Ricki surrounds himself with the spirits of outstanding musicians, both past and present.
