Caper Clowns, known from Danish and international radio with songs like Pockets and The Way I Dream, are releasing their 4th album on June 6th, 2025, and are consequently going on tour in Denmark and beyond.
"Can I briefly describe Caper Clowns music?
Sure - it's damn good music!
On a more serious note, it's kind of an up to date take on 60's and 90's pop rock, with a twist of whatever else we may feel like doing".
Rick – Caper Clowns
Caper Clowns are a great live band because all five guys give it their all on stage. That, and the fact that the songs are great, are some of the reasons why the band was awarded Live Band of the Year at Odense Live Prisen.
Caper Clowns are fairly unpredictable, both musically and in their live performance. Musically because they are five songwriters, who all contribute something different, that they still seem to somehow fit together, and live probably because they have played a lot of shows together by now, leading them to always try out new fun things to keep both the audience as well as themselves entertained.
Caper Clowns have played more than 400 gigs, both big and small. To name a few they have supported Level 42 (UK), The Crookes (UK).
"What do the audience get to take home from a Caper Clowns concert?
A really good music experience, often spiced with some fun and giggles, while still managing to fit in songs with more gravitas".
Christian Højgaard – Caper Clowns
Spygenius is a four piece, guitar-bass-drums-keys line up. They have been playing together for over 20 years!
They are based in the South East of England, but have played across the UK and been regular performers at the International Pop Overthrow Festival in Liverpool, and have played several tours in the USA.
They all sing and have a real love for complex harmonies. “The plan was always to write, record and perform original music to the highest standard we could, for as long as we could get away with!”
Having been working as a band together for such a long time, all four members bring their own influences to the music. Peter, the main songwriter grew up with lots of folk and blues influences, as
well loving guitar pop, (especially the Beatles and the Byrds), which led to his love of the electric 12 string jangle guitar sound. Matt, on keyboard, is the only one who can properly read music! He is responsible for a lot of the complicated harmony arrangements. Ruth, the bass player loves 70s new wave, Alan the drummer loves Studio 54 disco! They ALL grew all up listening to key musical sixties influences, such as British guitar pop – Squeeze, XTC, Elvis Costello, Ian Dury, but there are lots of folk,
jazz, blues and psychedelia influences in there too.
One of Spygenius’s favourite reviews comes from Woody Radio, who said: “There aren't a lot of bands like this. Don't get me wrong...there are a LOT of bands that WANT to be like this. You cannot "decide" to be multi-dimensional. It's in your DNA or it's not. Wanting it and forcing it is an exercise in futility.
This band has a gift and they know how to put it to work!”
Rick Kingo is a Danish singer/songwriter, who released his debut EP "The Truth's, The Lies, The Lot" in 2023.
Cherry Fez is an American singer/songwriter who has put out 6 albums in the last 5 years, and who will release the next one this year.
In 2024 Rick Kingo and Cherry Fez started collaborating on new music, which so far has led to the release of the single "In Our Solitude", as well as shows across the US and Canada. This spring/summer they're taking their show to the UK for the first time where they will be performing songs by both artists, as well as new songs from their joint EP, which will be out in the near future.
On this tour as well as on the coming EP, they will feature Christian Hojgaard (DK) om bass and Lucas Garbellini (Brazil) on drums.
Plasticsoul
Celebrated mainstays of the LA pop-rock scene, Plasticsoul are a hook-propelled American spin on the history of British rock from The Beatles to the Bunnymen to Oasis, putting forth a ferocious near-glam-rock attack that's impossible to resist. Blessed with the powerful voice and sharp-edged tunes of frontman Steven Wilson, the band is riding high on the rapturous reception to their third album Therapy on Big Stir Records. The new record, Plasticsoul's best and hardest rocking yet, has followed in the footsteps of the group's prior releases, both of which also garnered multiple Album of the Year awards and rave reviews from California to the UK and Singapore. Therapy sees Wilson waxing at turns both tender and deeply sarcastic, while the churning guitar crunch and pounding drums compel the listener to put the disc on “repeat”, turn it way the hell up, and sing along with the instantly memorable choruses. It's a classic upon first listen and destined to stand alongside the very best rock and roll of this young century.
Plasticsoul's formidable and propulsive live act is pure rock and roll energy, brought to life by the searing lead guitar of Daniel Conrad and the band's thunderous rhythm section. That drive, combined with a deep catalogue of finely crafted and emotive songs, embody a band that's currently at the height of their considerable powers as they storm stages from California to England and Ireland. Wilson is a prime mover of the Big Stir pop collective (alongside The Armoires) and equally renowned for his Lennon-esque vocal delivery and his creative restlessness: he's already writing and arranging songs for the followup to Therapy, ensuring more accolades and blistering live performances for years to come.
