Our annual Charity Steam Fair will be held on Saturday August 9th from 11am through to 4.30pm.It's expected the railway will be running at least 6 of its own steam engines, including vertical locomotive Leary, together with a number of internal combustion engines.
Our usual intensive service will operate all day with extra loco movements, combinations and stock variations all thrown in, not forgetting the end of day locomotive cavalcade!
Steam traction engines, portables and vintage tractors will also be in operation in the demonstration field weather permitting, with a small collection of Classic Cars in attendance too.
'Leary' will be offering Driver for Fiver experiences again, along with traction engines in the demonstration field.
The Kent Area Group from the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers will be returning with their ‘Hopfields’ indoor layout inside the engine shed.
The station café will be serving a selection of homemade food and drink, including local award winning BEARDspoon Cider and Goachers Ale.
Tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £10 for children.
All tickets must be pre-purchased and are not available on the day.
Profits from the 2025 event will go to Riding for the Disabled.
