Join us for the annual Richfield Powwow, a powerful community event celebrating and honoring Native American culture!This is a family-friendly gathering featuring incredible traditional drumming and dancing, opportunities for fellowship, and a chance to experience the beauty of Indigenous traditions. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend. The event is FREE and open to the public!
Schedule Highlights
- Grand Entry: 5:15 p.m. (The official start of the dancing)
- Drumming and Dancing: Exhibition and contest dances in full regalia.
- Veteran and Elder Honoring: Special moments to recognize and thank our Native American Veterans and community Elders.
- Spotlight Dances: Including honoring graduating seniors and community members.
- Fun Community Events: Like the always-entertaining Potato Dance!
- Vendors & Resources: Local Native artists, craftspeople, community organizations and food vendors will be on-site.
General Information & Etiquette
- Attire: You do not need to wear specific attire, but please dress respectfully.
- Photography: Please be respectful when taking photos. Always ask a dancer for permission before taking their photograph, especially if they are wearing regalia.
- Seating: Please do not sit in the chairs reserved for dancers and drummers.
- Standing: Please stand during the Grand Entry, Flag Song and all Honoring Songs. The MC will announce when it is appropriate to stand.
- Regalia: Please do not touch a dancer's regalia (dance attire).
