About this Event

Join us for an expansive visual presentation of Shooting for the Stars, a six-decade celebration of timeless design by Richard Danne. With 248 colorful pages that include successful programs and projects for diverse clients like NASA, FIT, Paramount, and AT&T, you'll bear witness to the strong concepts and enduring design solutions that have been the hallmark of Danne's career for budgets both large and small.

To appreciate the longevity of their designs, each project in Stars is captioned with a date and includes many stories of how his projects evolved. You'll find many surprising tidbits in this book, like the story of how Danne was stranded after a presentation in Saudi Arabia, during a total lock-down of airspace.

Richard's presentation and book offer an animated long view of the design profession and its evolution.

"Richard Danne is a leader, gentleman, and one-of-a-kind shining star in our vast design galaxy." Dana Arnett, former AIGA president, founder & chairman, VSA Partners, Chicago, IL.
