It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of Richard Rogers, who departed this life at 5:30 a.m. 1/2/2026 at Good Samaritan Hospital due to a heart attack. The incident occurred on New Year's Eve at approximately 4:30 p.m. at his residence, after which he was rushed to the hospital, where he experienced cardiac arrest twice before regaining a pulse. The subsequent day and a half was a tumultuous and unpredictable period, ultimately culminating in his eternal rest. His Mother, Juanita, has recently endured other losses and must now bear the sorrow of burying her son; she is a testament to the strength of faith. His sister Donna who has been by his side his entire life and a great support system. He was a devoted husband to Janet, sharing over 20 years with the love of his life. Richard was a friend of mine for over four decades. His passing will be deeply felt by many. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Church of Chimes, 1447 Bryan Ave, San Jose, CA 95118. Open casket visiting hours will be from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., followed by services at 12 p.m. and a procession to his final resting place at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery
