On his recent LP "Memorial," on Colorfield Records, multi-instrumentalist and composer Rich Hinman creates an arresting collage containing elements of electronica, psychedelia, and searching improvisation, with Hinman's pedal steel as the (mostly) primary voice. Here he debuts a trio of like-minded explorers. Collectively, Hinman, Hickman and Drohan have worked with kd lang, Sara Bareilles, Emily King, Maggie Rogers, Nick Hakim, Ray LaMontagne, Josh Ritter and many many others.
