RIBA North West Small & Emerging Practice Group: Fees Workshop

RIBA North West Small & Emerging Practice Group is delighted to invite you to an inspiring and practical morning session on Thursday 21 November, 9:30 – 12:00, at The Oyez Arts Centre, Altrincham.

This event is tailored for architects in small and emerging practices who want to master the art of setting and managing fees with confidence. Whether you’re seeking greater financial clarity, aiming to strengthen client relationships, or simply want to ensure your work is valued appropriately, this session offers hands-on tools and expert guidance to help you succeed.

The morning begins with an introduction to the RIBA Fee Calculator by Jack Irlam-Mowbray, giving you practical insights into how to structure your fees effectively. You’ll then take part in an interactive workshop with Peter Farrall — Architect, Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool, and author of RIBA Good Practice Guide: Fees — who will share his experience, tips, and real-world strategies for navigating the financial side of practice.

Enjoy refreshments, connect with peers, and leave with actionable ideas to strengthen your business foundations.

Ticket Types:

To make it accessible to everyone there will be two types of tickets available

• In person
• Online

Both tickets are free, but is important to book the appropriate one so we can make the arrangements accordingly. Should you not be able to attend the event in person, you will still have access to the event online!

The Northwest Small and Emerging Practice Group is a supportive community of architects from small practices who come together to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and explore best practices.
