Join us for a special event as we announce the winners of the RIBA North East Awards 2024 and celebrate great architecture across the region.
The renovation of Auckland Castle and the conversion of Sunderland fire station into an amplified music venue are among the four projects that have been shortlisted for RIBA North East Awards 2024.
We'll be celebrating all 4 shortlisted projects:
- Auckland Castle, Tower and Faith Museum, County Durham, by Níall McLaughlin Architects & Purcell
- Fire Station Auditorium, Sunderland, by Flanagan Lawrence and delivery architect Howarth Litchfield
- Percy Cottage, Northumberland, by Elliott Architects
- Raven Tower, Northumberland, by NEWTON ARCHITECTS with s h e d STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS

Tickets include arrival drinks, street food and a selection of wine/craft beer.
We will be hosting an awards talks for each practice to present and discuss their shortlisted project, this will include a Q&A before announcing the winners.
This will be a relaxed and informal event, with a smart casual dress code (not formal or black-tie).
All dietary requirements can be catered for. Please indicate any special dietary requirements in the revelant box on the registration form.
Both alcoholic and non-alcholic drinks will be served.
