About this Event
RIBA Hampshire's January lecture, titled 'Trying to understand the RIBA Awards', will be hosted by Guy Hollaway of Hollaway Studio.
The RIBA Awards are the ultimate judgement of any Architect’s work, where you are measured by your peers in a subjective profession. This talk will unpick Hollaway Studio’s own highs & lows and the ever changing criteria required to achieve an award winning building. We hope this talk will lead to a healthy discussion that will uncover regional & national distinctions, quality, sustainability, reuse, materiality, longevity and more.
"Design begins with feeling – for place, for the past, for the needs and wants of the now, and for a future that matters. It listens. It empathises. It’s pragmatic. It’s an understanding that informs everything we do. It makes buildings that work – truly, beautifully."
This is sure to be a fascinating lecture so be sure to book your place now!
