More on the Artist:
After moving from Namibia to Cape Town as a young artist, he founded Crimson House in the Mother City — a band born from the blues rooms, warehouses, pubs and late-night jam culture of Cape Town. As the band’s leader and main songwriter, Riaan shaped its sound around real instruments, deep vocals and storytelling, becoming known for crafting live shows that feel like journeys, not just gigs
Over the years, he became a festival favourite, earning a reputation as one of the most memorable live performers around — a crowd-puller who knows how to build a moment, pull an ensemble together, and leave people talking about the night, not just the setlist
Now in 2026, Riaan launches his fourth studio album, Electric Nomad — a more intimate chapter in his story. The album will be debuted live at Alma Café, Cape Town on March 1st, 2026, in a limited-capacity, stripped-down show built for real music lovers
Joined by Duncan Johnson on sax and double bass, the performance leans into tone, soul and songs — no noise, no distractions, just instruments, voice and atmosphere
If you love songwriting, real instruments and shows that actually make you feel something — this one’s for you
