Brotha ZeIG is a Poet and Prophet with a voice and messages to uplift human beings. Much of Brotha ZeIG's poetry displays clear imagery of NaTuRe, relatable storytelling of one's day to day in life with the good and bad experiences, and a connection with the Divine.
Adrian Zeigler was raised in Upper Marlboro and Mitchellville, MD. Reading, listening, and writing poetry always brought joy. During the late 1990s, young Adrian used to take the Metro subway on Thursdays to 'Kafa House' on U Street in DC to listen to poets and recite original poetry. In Adrian's senior year in 1999 at Largo High School, Adrian recited original poetry at a senior assembly and Black History Month program. From there, Adrian performed original Poetry and Spoken Word throughout DC, MD, & VA (the DMV) until 2006 when moving to Los Angeles.
As a young adult Brotha ZeIG emerged and a voice was found. Original Poetry and Spoken Word is uttered and performed to inspire along with healing. Brotha ZeIG happily lived in Los Angeles, CA from 2006 to 2021 and grew as a Poet. There were many poets that Brotha ZeIG happily dealt with in 'Leimert Park' and Los Angeles, CA that contributed to Brotha ZeIG's writing and voice in Poetry. Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, and Tupac Shakur inspired Brotha ZeIG from childhood to present along with an array of Poets from open mics 🎤 and underground scenes. PeAcE and Blessings to ALL!
