Peter Moore takes on a no-holds-barred virtuoso showcase of all the trombone’s sonorities, from its melodic tenderness to its capacity to bend, growl and swing as if on-stage at Ronnie Scott’s or Birdland.
We also plunge into the romantic melodies and vivid orchestral colours of Rachmaninoff’s symphonies this Season, starting with the darkly fiery Symphony No. 1.
