Mulberry Gallery is proud to present Rhythm & Bloom, an evocative exhibition that explores the deep connections between rhythm, nature, and personal transformation. Featuring works by Harold Smith and Taylar Sandars, this collection harmonizes bold color, dynamic movement, and organic forms to reflect on the cycles of growth and change—both within ourselves and the world around us. Inspired by the ebb and flow of music and the resilience of blooming flowers, Rhythm & Bloom invites viewers to experience art as a living force—one that adapts, flourishes, and carries us through moments of transition.--
Harold Smith: Narratives of Black Masculinity & Evolution
Through a fusion of painting, mixed media, and assemblage, Harold Smith brings forth a powerful examination of Black masculinity and identity. Drawing from decades of experience, Smith’s work challenges media-driven perceptions and uplifts the everyday stories of Black men. His art pulses with movement—both in texture and meaning—capturing the rhythm of resilience and self-definition.
"My work is about giving visibility to the overlooked, about finding harmony in identity," says Smith. "Through art, we reclaim space, we bloom in ways history never expected us to."

Taylar Sandars: The Complexity of Emotion & Identity
A passionate visual storyteller, Taylar Sandars paints with intention, using bold hues and expressive brushstrokes to illuminate the spectrum of Black existence. Her work transforms the connotation of "colored" into something celebratory, honoring the depth and duality of her subjects. From powerful figurative portraits to nature-infused compositions, Sandars’ art is a meditation on beauty, vulnerability, and joy.
"When I paint Black men, I want to show them in peace, in softness. When I paint Black women, I show their warmth, their love, their duality of strength and delicacy," says Sandars. "Every color, every brushstroke tells a story of resilience and connection." Rhythm & Bloom is more than an exhibition—it’s an invitation to reflect on our own journeys of transformation, to embrace change as a creative force, and to find balance in the ever-evolving rhythm of life.
