Stamford, the fire is coming. On 8th October at Ink & Ember, Rhymes on the Rocks is proud to welcome headline act Jesse Eden Freeman (@jessense.rebelpoet) – The Rage Against The Machine of poetry. Founder of Poetry Scum, Jesse is a ranty, sweary, anarcho-feminist humanitarian whose performances are as raw as they are unforgettable. Expect biting humour, political fire, brutal honesty and a voice that refuses to stay silent.
But that’s not all—this month’s theme is Ghosts.
Not just the spooky kind, but the echoes that linger. The selves we’ve shed but still carry, the memories that press against the present, the voices that hum between silences. Bring your ghosts—gentle, haunting, playful or profound—and let them rise to the mic.
