On February 11th at Ink & Ember, we’re inviting you to write about the people who don’t usually get the spotlight — the ones you learned about by chance, whose names didn’t stick in textbooks but probably should have. Quiet leaders. Everyday legends. People whose courage, choices, or persistence still have something to teach us.
🎤 This month’s headliner: DESREE
Desree is an award-winning spoken word artist, writer and facilitator whose work explores justice, identity and lived experience with warmth and fire. She has performed everywhere from Glastonbury to the Royal Albert Hall, with work featured internationally. Her performances are vivid, personal, and uncompromising.
