Experience Gershwin’s epic melodies as local pianist Emily Yap Chua joins the LSO for an electrifying performance of this masterpiece. Also on the program are two composers who influenced Gershwin: Maurice Ravel and Duke Ellington. The program includes Ravel’s hypnotic Bolero, and Ellington’s thrilling Night Creature.

• A full 65-piece orchestra
• Ravel’s electrifying Bolero made famous by ice dancers Torvill and Dean, and frequently used in other figure skating routines and movies.
• An epic masterpiece for jazz band and orchestra, by Duke Ellington who was an inspiration to both Gershwin and Ravel.
