This year we will once again ‘throw open’ the doors of the school and invite prospective families in for our Annual Open Morning, this will take place 9.30am-12.30pm on Saturday 16th November.There are lots of opportunities at Open Morning for your family to get to know us. You will be able to take a tour of our site, see our outstanding facilities and meet our staff and students.
You can find out about the culture of the school, which has an enormous focus on the wellbeing of each individual, and we’ll outline our pastoral systems which enables everyone to feel at home in our community.
There will also be opportunities to speak with academic staff who will give a little insight to their subjects and answer any questions you may have.
While we are well known for leading the North East’s academic league tables, of which we are immensely proud, as our strapline states, ‘there is more to life at RGS’. Open Morning will also showcase the phenomenal breadth of co-curricular opportunities at the school. Our students commit themselves passionately to a huge range of sports, music, drama, dance, debating, community service, CCF and other activities too numerous to list.
