RGMC, the New Mexico State Fair event September 13th 2025 from 7:30am to 3pm. We will have the same sweet spot as we did last year under the giant cottonwood trees on Heritage Street. It is between the Creative Arts building and Expo NM’s Manuel Lujan Bldg. You get free admission to, and the best parking spot at the Fair, just off the main street! You can bring as many people as you have seatbelt sets in your Mustang. That means 4. This is not a drive-in movie. You can bring drinks, food and lawn chairs, but please note, no alcoholic beverages are allowed. You cannot enter this part of the fair unless you go in with the club, so do not be late! The only hard part is getting up and being at the meet-up spot at 601 San Pedro NE at 7:15am.
We are allowed up to 25 cars, so make your commitment early! Once we have 25 we will keep a waiting list just in case.
It goes like this; we meet and get lined up (old cars to new or vise versa) on the southeast lot of the Albuquerque Barber College 601 San Pedro Dr. N.E. at or before 7:30am and are escorted into the State Fair to our spaces. We appoint this specific time so we can get parked before other clubs are rolled in and clog the path. We will have time to set-up the cars or move one or two if needed. We will cordon off the row of Mustangs and club members will be there to watch over the herd of Mustangs most if not all of the time.
IMPORTANT: Once parked the cars are to stay in place until we are escorted single file out the north exit at approximately 3pm by NMSP. You can roam the fair until 2:45pm or hang with the cars or do both. But you must be at your car ready to leave at 2:50pm*. You will be the face of the Rio Grande Mustang Club for all the State Fair goers to see, and it will be a busy day at the fair. This is a great event! Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty to do and see. It goes by fast!
