Weinig componisten die zo een uiteenlopend en boeiend oeuvre bij elkaar schreven als Maurice Ravel. Revue Blanche, een ensemble dat al net zo eigenzinnig is als Ravel, huldigt de unieke componist met hun ongewone bezetting van sopraan, fluit, altviool en harp. Ze halen alles uit de kast: van Moeder de Gans in haar feeërieke tuin tot populaire Griekse melodieën en een eerbetoon aan Couperin. As if that weren’t reason enough to program his music, it is also 150 years since his birth. A tribute was therefore inevitable. Revue Blanche, an ensemble as idiosyncratic as Ravel himself, honors the unique composer with their unusual combination of soprano, flute, viola, and harp. They pull out all the stops: from Mother Goose in her enchanted garden to popular Greek melodies and a tribute to Couperin.
