What was camp life like for a member of a military regiment in 18th century New England in theRevolutionary War era? Find out at the Holliston Historical Society, 547 Washington Street, from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 2 and from 10 a.m. to Noon on Sunday, November 3.
This event is one of the many events this year that celebrates the Town’s 300th Anniversary.
Re-enactment members of the 10th Massachusetts Regiment, Colonel Bailey’s 2nd Mass.
Regiment, and the Royal Irish Artillery will set up wedge tents (used for sleeping), dining flys, a
commissary, and supply tents. Learn about swords and weapons. Demonstrations include
spinning, weaving, woodworking, leatherwork, and 18th century cooking. Children will have an
opportunity to participate in a drill with toy muskets. Cannon drills and firings (with blank rounds)
are also on the schedule.
Free admission. Soups and other hot refreshments to quench the appetite and thirst of
attendees available for purchase. Proceeds from this event will support the operations of the
