The Revolution Ball is a colonial dress/black tie evening of live music, dancing, food, and drinks. The event celebrates the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Leslie's Retreat from the Salem gunpowder raid of 1775. The event is one of many events planned by the Leslie’s Retreat SR Steering Committee for the weekend of February 21 & 22.The evening's events will begin with period drinks, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and music. Period dancing will commence in the ballroom, led by Commonwealth Vintage Dancers. Local reenactors will be present, both to take photos with and to participate in the evening's festivities.
Guests are welcome to wear either colonial costume or black tie attire.
Would you like some practice before you get your dancing shoes on for the Ball? Hamilton Hall and Commonwealth Vintage Dancers are offering colonial dance lessons on February 9 and 16.
