and the are thrilled to continue the popular Artisan Spotlight Series at the Historic Kennedy Ph*rm*cy, located at 323 E. Broughton St.
The , which originally launched in Spring 2024, offers engaging, hands-on events and provides a dynamic platform for artists and artisans to share their creative processes with local residents and visitors.
The February event will feature local fiber artist Samantha Mack. She will host a beginner’s crochet circle, sharing a brief history of the popular 19th-century craft and demonstrating basic stitches. Participants can try their hand at creating a classic “granny square,” which is a versatile pattern used for blankets, pillows and clothing. Suitable for newcomers as well as experienced crocheters looking for guidance on a current project, this hands-on workshop is a wonderful opportunity to connect, create and learn in an inspiring, supportive environment. The cost of this workshop includes crochet materials.
