Revival Fusion: April Edition

This immersive fusion partner dance experience might feel a little nostalgic and a little bit new... Let yourself be mesmerized by the music while the DJs spin us a soundscape, melt into the mood, and dance away the darkness.

Ally is a body geek and a movement addict. She's been dancing since she could walk, but discovered the world of partner dancing first in 2004 when she fell in love with Lindy Hop. She found herself obsessed with Blues by 2006, and since then she's gone on to practice several other dance and movement studies including Tango, West Coast Swing, contemporary, hip hop, house, aerial silks, pole dance, and the Alexander Technique. She has taught Blues and Fusion on the West Coast since 2007, internationally for a decade, and is about to graduate as a certified Contemporary Alexander Technique instructor.

Over the years of dance exploration, Ally has developed a keen fascination with the design and mechanics of coordination in the human body, and now enjoys teaching all of her classes through the lens of body discovery. Her classes are full of geekery—to her, curiosity, fascination, and silliness are the bedrock of an effective (and enjoyable) learning environment. Her passion is to not only teach people how to dance technically, but to simultaneously engage with their bodies playfully, creatively, and with deeper understanding.

This event is:

• COVID Vaccinations: REQUIRED
• Rapid Test: REQUIRED
• Masking: OPTIONAL (but welcomed)

We are choosing to have masking optional while supplementing with rapid testing. We believe that this will provide an environment that balances the latest covid science with dancer comfort.

We are not requiring new Fall 2022 Bivalent Booster at this time (though may in the future). We are currently requiring that you have completed at least one full round of vaccination from Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, or Novovax. See our full policy for details.

Our philosophy is to encourage people to stay home if you're sick. We will be happy to refund your ticket if any of the following are true:

• You're feeling sick, unwell, or have any doubts that you're contagious (with anything).
• You've been knowingly or likely exposed to COVID, or have been in a high-risk situation for COVID.
• You actively have COVID, or any other contagious ailment.

We believe in making our dance financially accessible, taking a "pay what you can" model. Our "General Admission" tickets are our break even cost. We have tickets available at a lower cost for those who need them.

We have volunteer tickets available for setup before the event, door shifts during, and tear down after!

To offset our Accessibly Priced tickets we have Benevolent Sponsor tickets, which directly go to enabling more of our community to attend our dances.

We sometimes have professional photographers, and other delightful photo moments. But we want to be respectful of your privacy. By attending this event, you must agree to the photo release - but you can elect to not have photos taken of you. When purchasing a ticket, you may elect to not have us release your photos and will wear a provided wristband indicating such.
