Formed in 1986 in Dallas, Texas, The Reverend Horton Heat is a prominent name in the psychobilly and rockabilly music scenes. The band's unique blend of rock and roll, country, punk, and swing has earned them a dedicated following and critical acclaim. Led by the charismatic frontman Jim Heath, the band has maintained a vibrant presence in the music world for decades.
The journey of The Reverend Horton Heat began with Jim Heath, who was born in 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Heath's early musical influences included rock, electric blues, and traditional country artists such as Junior Brown and Willie Nelson. His passion for music led him to perform in various local bands before he adopted the moniker "Reverend Horton Heat," a name inspired by a nightclub owner in Dallas' Deep Ellum neighborhood
