Revenge Beast is a Baltimore/New Jersey technical death metal band formed in 2020, consisting of guitarist Marc Rizzo, vocalist Jay Decay, bassist Brennan McShane and drummer Doug Gussio. Drawing inspiration from bands like Overkill, Suffocation, Morbid Angel and Lamb of God, Revenge Beast is primed to add their fresh perspective on the heavy music scene.
Dark and dissonant, Revenge Beast features demonic vocals and blistering guitars backed by a pummeling rhythm section. Vocalist Jay Decay morphs between guttural vocals and high pitched screams while Rizzo blazes through every fret on the fretboard. Meanwhile, McShane and Gussio provided a thick complementary backing, further fueling the aural assault.

Roaming Figures is a 4-piece progressive metal band from Baltimore, MD. The band formed in 2023 when guitarists, Ryan Whisler and Zach Currie, decided to combine their passions for music. As young artists, the project quickly became a massive part of their everyday lives; it consumed them. They waded through the various factors that embody their flavor of music creation: hours of routine practice, exploring ideas, modifying instruments, and bringing to life music that had only been in their heads. Ryan and Zach met as old middle school friends. Their musical paths began separate but, came to an unavoidable convergence many years later in their earlier band, Somerton. During this time, their musical tastes tapered. Zach introduced Ryan to the world of writing original music, music production, and DAWs. “It became this overnight infectious disease.” Ryan’s desire to push the boundaries quickly grew and he would join in the intimidating task of learning music composition. Inspired by modern acts like Animals as Leaders and The Surrealist, electing to play extended range guitars was obvious; the wide register of eight strings outweighed the traditional six. The genres of progressive metal, metalcore, and djent formed a musical playground for the two. Two was not enough. Understanding the journey ahead, they sought to complete their sound. The next step was a search for a drummer and vocalist. More Figures required. “An unlikely response to a desperate craigslist post.” The response included an unsolicited version of Believe in Me with vocals that interlaced harshness with beauty. Instrumental had finally become song. Nick VanDevander, originally a guitarist of Forever the Dreamer, joined as front man. Nick, a powerful lyricist and proficient vocalist, was a clear fit. While searching for Drummers, On Talmor fell into the band’s sights. A proven and intricate percussionist, his love for thoughtful rhythms and complex phrasing was apparent in his playing. Having played in several acts including As Beings, On had the experience and style Roaming Figures was looking for; the much-needed clock. Four musicians quickly became four friends. Together they struggle in the deliverance of their musical message. Captured in a small EP, their hearts and minds can be heard on Reincarnate.
