About this Event

Once wasn’t enough! People on the first subscriber tour to the Olympic Park have asked for another.,,,we just couldn’t cover the ground in one. That’s because of the scale of this thing. It’s creating one of the biggest new pieces of cityscape that this country has ever grafted into an existing urban environment. It’s a staggering achievement in design, architecture, landscaping urban planning and regeneration. And it’s still happening. The new cultural quarter at East Bank is just opening up along the banks of the river Lea. Join us to be among the first to absorb it.There’s architectural acclaim for University College London’s new campus, and even more for the central hub of the London College of Fashion (see above) soon to be joined by the V&A, Sadlers Wells and the BBC. We’ll also take in the beauty of the velodrome and the buzz of activity in and around the revamped media centres for the Games where cafes now splay out onto the canal towpath.

Apologies for the Friday – not everywhere is accessible at weekends.
